You need a thermometer to monitor your RV fridge cabin temperature. This 1"x2"x0.75" digital thermometer and humidity meter fasten to your RV fridge wall with a magnetic to pressure adhesive fixed pad, this thermometer then magnetically attracts to that matching magnetic pad. The EZ magnetic pad allows for a secure way to place the thermometer, while also allowing easy maintenance including replacing the batteries. Two AG10 watch batteries power the unit for over half year. We provide an additional 4 batteries free with this purchase, and all one has to do is pull the magnetic latch thermometer from the wall open the back lid and replace the batteries. Then just put near fixed pad and it will magnetically refix the thermometer to your fridge wall. Complete pictures including installation instructions are provided below.

Installation of Fridge Thermometer and Humidity Kit
First we show the back of the thermometer and the matching back pressure adhesive fixed wall magnetic pad. The fixed magnetic pad on left will have the adhesive nonstick covering removed and be pressure affixed (adhesive) to the wall of the refrigerator, the visible side (brown surface) is magnetically coupled and mated to the matching magnetic pads on the back side of the thermometer . Obviously, the magnetic mating surface is missing in the battery compartment area, this of course is to access the battery and allow easy changes later. Before affixing the pad you MUST observe the the rest of the instructions.
Next we show how to access the battery compartment for changing the AG10 batteries. The item comes with 6 batteries, two installed as a pair and another two sets for reserve. Batteries need changing very little, but obviously when they need to be changed it's simple to pull off the thermistor by pulling it away from the magnetic fixed pad and then inserting the screw driver as below:
Proper Placement MUST BE OBSERVED so that the thermometer doesn't loose it's grip to the magnetic pad, when the RV is in motion and experiencing inertial forces. Please note the proper and improper wall to mount in the fridge. Note on most fridges (98%) this will be the back wall of the refrigerator.
So now that we have placement figured out of the part, let's talk how to get the thermometers magnetic pad positioned properly. Don't just affix the back main pad to a refrigerator wall without the thermometer connected to the base wall pad. Instead when it comes to placement first place the base pad so that it's magnetic fields grip the mating magnetic fields on the thermometer. You should get a thermometer and base magnetic pad nearly matching at all seams as shown below in the left picture. Then slowly peel back the adhesive backing on the back pad. Now move the entire thermometer with base pad and stick on the wall of the fridge that you decided from previous statement. And you are now done! You can easily remove the thermometer whenever you need to change it batteries and then reattach by placing it to mate with the fields of the base pad.
